Bismarck Family Pictures | Zimmerman Family

I've been working with Amanda and Brian for a long time – dating all the way back to their wedding in 2013. And I actually happened to be there the night they met too! Did I mention they're also my in-laws? It's been so much fun watching their family grow over the years, and their Bismarck family pictures this year were definitely some of my favorites!

I loved that the Zimmermans chose this location for their Bismarck family pictures this year, because it was a location that really captured them as a family! I wish I could say that this gorgeous, sandy beach is somewhere I could take all my clients, but I'd have no idea how to get there – haha! Brian took us all out on the pontoon and drove us to a spot that they love to spend time as a family in the summer while they're out on the river.

Taking these pictures gave me flashbacks to taking Amanda and Brian's wedding pictures! They celebrated ten years of marriage last fall.

After having kids, pictures of just mom and dad are rare! I always try to grab a few because it's not often that we get a chance to have those taken.

Just because your family is dressed up doesn't mean you can't have FUN! Sure, I'll always get the "everybody look at the camera and smile" pictures, but I also want to capture your kids being kids too. If you know the Zimmermans, you know they have energy, so a few pictures of them all running in the sand together seemed appropriate for their Bismarck family pictures!

This picture of the siblings just makes me smile! 

Year after year, Amanda chooses the BEST outfits for her Bismarck family pictures! I always joke that she should style all my clients. This year was no exception!

There's nothing better than golden hour for Bismarck family pictures on a beautiful summer evening! I had so much fun with the Zimmermans, and didn't mind the pontoon ride either!
