Mickee F. | Downtown Bismarck Senior Pictures
Mickee was my final senior of the season, and her downtown Bismarck senior pictures were the perfect session to end the year on! This young lady is so talented, and we planned her session around several of the things she was passionate about: jazz choir, cheer, and theater! Plus, we threw in some edgy downtown photos, and caught the end of golden hour to show off a few of her fantastic thrifted outfits at Sleepy Hollow Theatre & Arts Park.
We started Mickee’s session at her high school auditorium! She brought a fabulous old jazz microphone as a prop, and the stage lights were so fun to play around with. I wanted these photos to be “senior pictures meets album cover,” and they turned out to be the perfect mix of both.
This is one of my favorites from the entire session!
Next, we headed to the Bismarck Community Bowl for Mickee's cheerleading senior pictures! We didn’t realize that a team would actually be practicing while we were shooting (oops!) so we worked around a football and cross country team.
This girl has INSANE hops.
After we finished with cheerleading photos, we headed south for Mickee's downtown Bismarck senior pictures! I was OBSESSED with this vintage leather trench coat that she found while thrifting, and loved how it fit perfectly with these urban senior pictures.
A hat can be the perfect accessory for senior pictures!
One of my favorite things about downtown Bismarck senior pictures is that there's so much variety, all within walking distance!
While we were downtown, we also stopped at Dakota Stage Ltd on Main and the Bismarck Art Alley.
Our last stop of the evening was a very special location: Sleepy Hollow Theatre and Arts Park. Mickee had been involved in past productions, and it’s where she truly fell in love with theater. Not only was it a sentimental location, we caught the end of the fall colors too!
Mickee thrifted this gorgeous vintage wool trench coat too!
You can’t go to Sleepy Hollow without a picture by famous blue sign!
For the last part of her Bismarck senior pictures, Mickee brought out a wooden chair that used to belong to her grandfather. It was the perfect, simple prop and fit in effortlessly with the location.
We had the perfect golden hour to end this senior session.
Mickee's downtown Bismarck senior pictures (along with cheer, jazz choir, and Sleepy Hollow) were the perfect end to my senior season! I'm already excited to work with another wonderful group of seniors next summer!
